QPR boss Jim Magilton is in no rush to replace Lee Camp and Damien Delaney who both left the club this week.
Keeper Camp has signed a four-year deal with Nottingham Forest after an undisclosed fee was agreed while defender Delaney has moved to Ipswich, also for an undisclosed fee.
And while Magilton has admitted he has "irons in the fire", he is also eager to give existing squad members the chance to impress during pre-season.
He told the club's website: "We're progressing nicely on the transfer front - we've got a few irons in the fire, but I'm not just going to bring players in for the sake of it.
"Of course there are areas of the squad that need strengthening, but I said from the first day I arrived that I would give every player a chance to impress me and that hasn't changed one bit."
Magilton added: "Rest assured, though, we are working extremely hard behind the scenes to bring the right footballers to this club."
