Warnock's Watson silence claim

QPRCrystal Palace boss Neil Warnock claims the silence from QPR was deafening this week regarding their interest in Ben Watson.

The England Under-21 international turned down a new deal with the Eagles after setting his heart on a move to Loftus Road, but no bid was lodged ahead of the closure of the transfer window on Monday.

Watson turned down Nottingham Forest in order to pursue a switch to the R's and Warnock says he has been left in limbo.

"Ben's agent turned down Forest, saying he wanted the type of package that he had been offered by QPR," Warnock told the South London Press.

"But we never had any contact from them, so I don't know what's gone on there."
