Madjid Bougherra believes he needs another couple of games to get back to his best despite a decent display against St Mirren.

The Algerian defender had not played for the Gers since December 30 but impressed during the 0-0 Scottish Cup draw at the weekend.

Having been away at the African Nations Cup, the 27-year-old is keen to do his utmost to help the Gers retain the title and feels he will be back to full speed soon.

Bougherra said: "I think I will need a couple of games to get back into the top level. It was great to be back in the Rangers team but obviously disappointing that we didn't win the game."
