Shittu deal 'Not dead'

RangersWatford manager Aidy Boothroyd says Dan Shittu's move to the Gers may yet still happen.

Rangers were thought to have ended their interest in the 27-year-old striker after he asked for wages of £25,000 a week.

However, speaking from the Hornets training camp in Austria, Boothroyd said: "the deal is not dead" and believes the move could still go through in the next few days.

Boothroyd also confirmed the bid, thought to be around the £1.5million mark, is a straight cash deal and involves no Rangers player making a move in the opposite direction.
