Walter Smith says it does not look like any Rangers players will be moving on during January and he hopes he can keep the squad intact.

There has been mounting speculation over Kris Boyd, with several Premier League clubs said to be tracking the SPL's all-time leading goalscorer - who is out of contract this summer.

Pedro Mendes, Jerome Rothen and Nacho Novo have also been linked with possible departures, but Smith remains upbeat over hanging onto his big name players.

Speaking to the club's website, Smith revealed: "It doesn't look like there will be any movement. We've not had any enquiries for any of our players so far as far as I'm aware and I hope that continues.

"With Kris, we're not any further forward. There is obviously continued speculation about what he might do but we just have to accept that."
