Walter Smith is expected to name an unchanged line-up for Rangers CIS Cup clash with St Johnstone with key players still missing.

Kenny Miller, DaMarcus Beasley and Maurice Edu remain on the sidelines after recent injuries and Wednesday's game will come too soon for the Gers trio.

Rangers will also be without striker Kris Boyd once again, although the SPL's leading scorer could play in a practice match next week following hernia surgery.

Boss Smith said: "We've managed to get to every domestic final since we came back to the club and it's a big thing for us to do that again.

"But equally, St Johnstone will see an opportunity to get there themselves and we know what we're going to face. We have to be equal to them."
