Alf biding his time

Adam Le Fondre is happy to play the waiting game on the Royals' substitutes bench as long as the club continue to pick up points.

Le Fondre has been used as an impact player in recent weeks by Reading boss Brian McDermott and has scored five goals in his last four Barclays Premier League appearances.

The 26-year-old did not find the back of the net against Sunderland on Saturday but a brace from Jimmy Kebe secured a 2-1 win and Le Fondre is happy to be playing the part asked of him during the recent run of form.

"I've got to do what's right for the team for the time being, until I can play in the team," he told Reading's official website. "Ever since I've come here I've wanted to play games - but the way things are going at the moment I've just got to bide my time and wait and see if we can play two up front."
