Hunt's hopes high

ReadingReading striker Noel Hunt is hoping to be fit to face Preston on Saturday despite being knocked out against Burnley.

Hunt was knocked unconscious following a clash of heads whilst scoring the opener against the Clarets and he has no recollection of the day at all but still hopes to be playing at Deepdale.

"I'm not allowed to head the ball at the moment, but that will change after tomorrow," he told the Evening Post.

"I should be okay for Saturday. I'll take it easy in training then get stuck in Thursday and Friday.

"I can't remember anything about Saturday at all and I don't think I'll ever get that back.

"I watched the game last week on Prozone video. It's strange watching it because I don't remember it, but in a way that's a good thing because when you get hit like that you could tend to pull out of things, but because I can't remember it, it doesn't bother me.
