Keeper back for Royals

Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici is set to return to action against Norwich City this weekend as Alex McCarthy is out injured.

The Australia international started the season as Reading's number one keeper, but following a couple of below-par displays he was dropped and in stepped McCarthy who has grabbed the chance with both hands.

However McCarthy has been ruled out for a number of weeks after suffering a shoulder injury in last weekend's 1-1 draw at QPR and now Federici will get a second chance.

Boss Brian McDermott is also without midfield duo Jem Karacan (knee) and Danny Guthrie (thigh), although the latter could return as early as next week.

There is some good news though as Irish striker Noel Hunt is available after shaking off a calf problem.
