Reading are being linked with a move for Emmanuel Emenike as Anton Zingarevich says it will be easier to sign players in the summer.

Brian McDermott was busy during the January transfer window when bringing in a host of new players and everyone concerned with the club will now be praying it is enough to keep the Royals in the Premier League.

If it is another spending spree could be on the cards in the summer and reports are claiming that a move for Spartak Moscow striker Emenike is a possibility.

The 25-year old is currently competing for Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations and both Arsenal and Liverpool are also said to be keen.

Zingarevich says a lot of work has gone into the club's scouting network and believes they will be well placed to pounce come the end of the season no matter what division they are in.

"We have done a lot of scouting over the past few months and we know pretty much every single player in Europe," Zingarevich revealed. "So come the summer, it is much easier."
