One game at a time for boss

Reading boss Brian McDermott believes that February will be crucial to the club's hopes of staying in the Championship.

Following on from the victory over Doncaster the Royals have a clash with Plymouth at home on Tuesday and further League games against Crystal Palace, Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday before the month comes to an end.

McDermott believes it is impossible to predict what will happen, he told the Post: "If I was a forecaster I would go and put money on it down at the bookies, but you can't forecast games, it's pointless.

"I think once you start trying to forecast and predict things people start getting anxious. All we can do is look at the next game and try and win that."
