Barnsley winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce has snubbed a move to Reading by agreeing a new deal with the South Yorkshire club.
The Jamaica international, whose current terms run until 2011, has been one of Barnsley's most consistent performers over the past season which had seen him linked with a move elsewhere.
However, 26-year-old Campbell-Ryce, who joined the Tykes from Southend United in 2007, has decided to stay at Oakwell and will sign a new long-term deal when he returns from his holiday.
It is a big blow to Reading who had hoped to prise the player away from Oakwell in a £1m-plus deal after failing to land him on a similar deal last January.
