Reading could renew their interest in striker Miku after the Venezuela international admitted he made a mistake joining Celtic.
The 27-year-old had the chance to join the Royals or Premier League rivals Swansea City on loan at the start of the season but instead opted to make the temporary switch to Parkhead.
Miku's season-long loan move to the SPL outfit hasn't worked out though and the sharp shooter has managed just two goals in 14 appearances for the Hoops.
Miku has now confirmed he will return to Getafe at the end of his temporary deal and Reading could be tempted to try and lure him to the Madjeski Stadium, according to reports.
Miku told a Venezuelan newspaper: "It was a mistake to go there simply because I cannot do anything.
"At first I did not understand. I said to myself: 'How might come to play in the best league in the world (Spain) and play no part in Scotland?'
"But then I realised that things had nothing to do with sport."
