Pavel Pogrebnyak has dismissed rumours linking him with Zenit St Petersburg and says he is focused on Reading's survival fight.

Reports have surfaced suggesting the Russian star will return to his homeland in the summer no matter what with Zenit leading the race for his signature.

There is a good chance the striker will move on if Reading are relegated but he has played down the rumours and says now is not the time to talk about the future.

Pogrebnyak is hoping to fire home the goals to keep Reading in the Premier League and only then will he discuss his next move.

"Nothing. The season is not over, so it would be too soon to talk about the future," Pogrebnyak told Sport-Express. "Now, I focus on helping Reading to get important points in the Premier League."

Reading are currently seven points adrift of safety with eight games remaining and face a big battle to stay up.
