Reading winger Jimmy Kebe is facing a battle to be fit for this weekend's clash with Everton as he struggles with a groin injury.

The Mali ace is suffering from tightness in his groin and, speaking at his pre-match press conference, boss Brian McDermott has confirmed the player is a doubt.

Kebe will be handed a late fitness test ahead of the game but if he does miss out he will join Danny Guthrie, Jem Karacan and Alex McCarthy on the sidelines.

Reading are still searching for their first win since returning to the Premier League and McDermott will be hoping it comes this weekend against the Toffees.
