Wolves in for defender

Championship outfit Wolves are understood to be trying to wrap up a loan deal for Reading defender Kaspars Gorkss.

The Latvia international has struggled for regular football at the Madejski Stadium this season and has not figured in the first team since the 5-2 defeat to Arsenal back in December.

Royals boss Brian McDermott is happy to let him leave on loan and it is thought the 31-year-old has stayed back in England to formalise a move, while the rest of the squad are in Dubai.

Gorkss is out of contract at the end of the season when he will be available on a free transfer and he could see the switch to Molineux as an excellent chance to try and win a permanent deal.
