Dunphy wants supporters backing

Last Updated: Fri, 25 Apr 2014 14:02

Rochdale chairman Chris Dunphy has issued a rallying cry to fans ahead of Saturday's game at home to Cheltenham.

Currently sitting in the third automatic-promotion spot with two games remaining, Dale simply need to better fourth-placed Fleetwood's result to win promotion to Sky Bet League One.

And in a message issued on the club's official website, Dunphy said: "Even if you have never been to a Rochdale game before, make the effort to attend and hopefully experience something very special.

"Make no mistake this is the big one and I need you to play your part.

"This could be a great moment in the town's history. Don't miss it, be part of it."
