Mario Fenech has said he expects new South Sydney signing Sam Burgess to become a future star of the NRL.
The 21-year-old, who signed a four-year contract from Bradford Bulls, stood out in Sunday's trial win against Manly and club legend Fenech was excited by his 20-minute cameo appearance.
Fenech believes the exciting prop has the skills set to match the much-decorated former New Zealand captain Mark Graham and feels he has a trophy-laden career ahead of him.
"He was only out there for one quarter but he's obviously got all the skills," he said.
He added: "He's a very clever player. He knows where to run and is a very clever reader of play.
"He plays beyond his years. He's tough and brutal but he picks his time to put a shot on.
"I'd hate him to be running at me because he'd be a handful to stop."
