Coach Brian McClennan was far from impressed with Leeds' performance despite watching them beat Hull KR 44-8 in the play-offs.
The Rhinos started slowly and only led by 10 points to eight at half-time, thanks to tries from Lee Smith and Brent Webb.
Daniel Fitzhenry touched down for the visitors and Michael Dobson added the extras and another goal to keep Rovers well in the hunt at half-time.
However, Leeds upped their game significantly in the second period and the gulf in class was evident as Ali Lauitiiti scored two quick tries before Jamie Peacock, Ryan Hall, Smith with his second and Keith Senior all crossed the whitewash.
Hull could not add to their tally after the break but will have another chance to progress when they play in the preliminary semi-finals next week.
Despite the margin of victory, McClennan was non-plussed by most things he saw on Friday evening.
"I thought it was a poor standard game," he said. "I've been so excited about the final series and thought it was scrappy. We were poor, I don't think Hull KR were that great and I don't think the officials were great either.
"It's not a great start for the final series and I hope it can get better than that. I hope we can lift our standard."
