Super League strugglers Bradford Bulls have signed out-of-contract centre Paul Sykes on a new a 12-month contract.

The 27-year-old home-grown talent has scored 23 tries and kicked 19 goals in 46 appearances since arriving back at Odsal at the start of last season from Harlequins.

"I always wanted to stay here and I am just glad it's now done and dusted," said Sykes.

"I've enjoyed my time at Bradford and I'm settled at this club so it's great to be able to sign for another year."

Bulls coach Steve McNamara added: "Paul's a very valuable member of our squad and the fact that he is a home-grown player meant it was important we kept him here."
