Catalans Dragons' coach Kevin Walters was a relieved man after seeing his side leave it late to beat Salford on Friday night.
The French outfit came from behind to keep their play-off hopes alive with an 18-16 victory over the Reds at The Willows.
The home side made the better star and found themselves 12-0 up at the break thanks to tries from Craig Stapleton and Lewis Swain, with Stefan Ratchford landing both conversions.
But the visitors refused to give in and roared back with three tries of their own after the break through Olivier Elima, Dane Carlaw and Adam Mogg.
Gregory Mounis hit one conversion and the sides were locked together at 14-all before Ratchford kicked a goal which looked to have won it for Salford.
But, with time running out, Casey McGuire crossed the whitewash to give his side the points in a thrilling encounter, and Walters admitted it had been a nail-biting last few minutes.
"After they got the penalty I don't remember too much - I was too busy swearing and cursing," he said. "But Salford were tremendous for most of the match.
"It's unfortunate they got beaten but I'm very glad we came through.
"We knew it was going to be tough here but I'm very happy to get the win."
