All Blacks surprise wing decision

R UnionNew Zealand have revealed that Richard Kahui, usually an outside centre, will play on the wing for Saturday's clash with Australia.

The 23-year-old has been handed a start by Graham Henry in the latest Bledisloe Cup encounter, with the All Blacks badly hit by injuries in recent weeks and looking to bounce back from back-to-back defeats.

Mils Muliaina reverts to number 15 from the wing because first choice full-back Leon MacDonald is out, but skipper Richie McCaw will return having missed the previous Tri-Nations games against the Wallabies and Springboks.

After a heavy 34-19 defeat in Sydney last weekend, Henry admits changes will be made tactically as well as in personnel, although the full line-up is not expected to be announced until Friday.

The coach revealed: "We've made some tactical changes in our selections, but we also need to change how we play.

"Clearly there are areas we need to improve on from Sydney. We have to have the right game plan and execution."
