Cipriani reveals comeback target

R UnionWasps and England fly-half Danny Cipriani is targeting a late-November comeback as he bids to recover from injury.

The 20-year-old sustained a fracture dislocation of his right ankle in a game with Bath back in May, but says he is keen to prove his fitness ahead of the next year's Six Nations.

"Wasps and England have been very good - they just want to make sure I'm 100%," Cipriani told the BBC. "Hopefully I will have time to put my place down and make the England team."

Cipriani believes that he is not getting ahead of himself by targeting a return to playing in late Novemeber, where he will then look to impress for Wasps to force his way back into the reckoning for England.

"I'm not setting myself an exact game, but late November would be a good comeback for me from the injury," he continued. "I don't want to do things by halves, I want to be fully fit and ready to go."
