Flood kicks Leicester to victory

R UnionToby Flood's four first-half penalties proved to be enough for Leicester to see off Ospreys 12-6 at Welford Road on Sunday.

The Tigers' bid for a record-equalling third Heineken Cup title has begun well after a comfortable victory over the Welsh side, who were missing suspended centre Gavin Henson.

Flood was forced off in the second half after picking up a leg injury, but the England international had already kicked four penalties to give his side the advantage.

Ospreys were disappointing and only managed points through winger Shane Williams' drop goal and a James Hook penalty, as Leicester gained revenge for their defeat in last season's EDF Energy Cup final.
