Reports suggest London Irish director of rugby Brian Smith will be named as England's attack coach next week.The RFU have to agree a compensation deal with the Exiles, as Smith still had one year of his contract still to run, but all things should be in place by next week.
England are looking to rebuild with a new coaching staff after the two hammerings in New Zealand and Smith has made it clear that he is eager to start work in his new job.
"Once or twice in your career you have the chance to work with a national team at a World Cup.," he said.
"Things are being sorted out. It's got to be right for the club. If I am to move on, it has to be win-win for everyone."
