South African duo Schalk Burger and Bakkies Botha will face disciplinary hearings on Sunday after being cited for alleged foul play.

Flanker Burger has been reported for allegedly making contact with the eye area of British & Irish Lions wing Luke Fitzgerald after just 32 seconds, while lock Botha has been reported for a dangerous charge on Lions prop Adam Jones early in the second half of the Springboks' 28-25 second Test win at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.

The pair will both attend hearings and could be banned ahead of next Saturday's third and final Test against the Lions in Johannesburg.

Burger, who won his 50th cap in the game, will be anxiously awaiting the outcome of his hearing given that Munster flanker Alan Quinlan was ruled out of the Lions' squad for the South Africa tour after receiving a 12-week ban for a similar offence during a Heineken Cup semi-final last month.
