Tigers complete French signing

R UnionScrum-half Julien Dupuy has joined Leicester Tigers from French Top 14 club Biarritz on a two-year deal.

The uncapped 24-year-old was twice a champion of France with Biarritz and played in the 2006 Heineken Cup final.

Dupuy is likely to challenge England's Harry Ellis for his place in the side that finished runners-up in the Guinness Premiership final last season.

"This will be a big change for me after so long with Biarritz but I know Leicester Tigers is a massive club," said Dupuy.

"I am very happy to sign for Leicester and I am looking forward to starting the pre-season work there and experiencing rugby in England."
