Maarten Stekelenburg could now remain at Roma for the rest of the season after his agent confirmed there have been no firm offers.
The Dutch stopper has seemingly fallen behind Mauro Goicoechea in the Giallorossi pecking order and has been linked with a move away from the Italian capital.
The latest reports have suggested that Barcelona could be keen after it was confirmed that Victor Valdes is set to leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season.
Stekelenburg has played in just nine league matches this term and is looking at a way out, but may now have to wait until the summer.
"At the moment there are just rumours and journalistic speculation," Rob Jansen told calciomercato.it.
"We have yet to receive a concrete offer, so it is therefore probable that he will stay at Roma in January rather than leave.
"We know what is moving in the goalkeeping market. But nothing has been decided."
Meanwhile, midfielder Daniele De Rossi has been ruled out for at least two weeks after suffering a thigh strain in Sunday's clash with Inter Milan.
