Blackwell wants wide boy

Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell wants to sign a winger after adding Greg Halford, Sun Jihai and Ian Bennett to his squad.

Halford has signed a season-long loan from Sunderland while Sun and Bennet have signed two and one-year deals respectively.

And now Blackwell is eyeing a move for a wideman, with Man Utd's Lee Martin and Wigan's David Cotterill both linked.

Blackwell told the Star: "If I can't get the wide man that I want then I won't panic because I'm already well-stocked with quality.

"Stephen Quinn did terrifically well towards the end (of last season) and Greg (Halford) can slot in there too."
