Executive director Terry Robinson claims Sheffield United are close to an agreement on a number of the Blades transfer targets.
Having already sealed a deal for Watford's Lee Williamson, United are looking to do their summer business quickly in an attempt to aid their promotion bid.
Although Robinson refuses to name names, West Ham winger Kyel Reid and Manchester City striker Ched Evans are understood to be two potential new captures, with Reid already agreeing personal terms.
Speaking to the Sheffield Star, Robinson said: "There are people out there who we know we can get. Those have not been completed although things are in place.
"Equally we are also waiting to see if any other situations might develop that we might wish to pursue."
