Sheffield United defenders Harry Maguire and Matt Lowton are back in contention for the game at Brentford following suspension.

Central defender Maguire and full-back Lowton both served one-game bans in the midweek defeat at Walsall after their dismissals last weekend against Oldham.

Manager Danny Wilson drafted in both Blackpool's Matt Hill and John Egan from Sunderland on loan in time for them to make their debuts on Tuesday night and must decide whether to retain one or both of them at Griffin Park.

Wilson will also be without left-back Lecsinel Jean-Francois as the Haiti international damaged his cruciate knee ligament against Oldham last Saturday and has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Marcus Williams has made a timely return from his injury and could return to the starting line-up in Jean-Francois' absence.

Midfield playmaker Kevin McDonald remains sidelined with the hamstring injury that has ruled him out of the last four matches.
