Sheffield United midfielder Kevin McDonald will return to contention for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash at Coventry following suspension.

McDonald sat out the FA Cup win over Port Vale at the weekend after reaching five yellow cards, but is expected to return to the starting line-up.

Manager Danny Wilson has no major new injury or suspension worries, but several unspecified players are nursing bumps and bruises and there could be changes for the northern section quarter-final.

Winger Jordan Chapell has been recalled from his loan spell at Burton and could feature for the Blades, while forwards Richard Cresswell and John Cofie are both hoping for recalls.

Striker Dave Kitson is unlikely to be involved as he recovers from the hamstring problem that has kept him out for the last eight matches, while goalkeeper Mark Howard (thigh) and defender Tony McMahon (hamstring) remain sidelined.
