Aston Villa are ready to offer Sheffield United £7million for defender Kyle Naughton in a bid to wrap up a deal.

Martin O'Neill has made the 20-year-old one of his top targets of the summer as he attempts to draft in a new left-back and is ready to meet United's asking price.

Everton are also keen but after they failed with a £3.5million offer last week, Villa are ready to give the Blades what they want in order to wrap up a quick deal.

The Blades are keen to keep hold but know they will struggle if a Premiership club come in and match their valuation.

As soon as Martin O'Neill makes a bid we will send out mobile alerts on our new sms service.
