Sheffield Wednesday have brought in Sunderland's England Under-21 international striker Connor Wickham on a youth loan deal.
The teenager has struggled to hold down a first-team place at the Barclays Premier League club following his £8.1million move from Ipswich in 2011.
Wickham has made just six starts for the Black Cats since and netted his second goal for the club in the FA Cup draw with Bolton last month.
The Owls could choose to play Wickham against Derby at Hillsborough on Saturday.
