Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Chris Lines has joined MK Dons on loan until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old former Bristol Rovers playmaker, who made 47 appearances for the Owls in their npower League One promotion-winning campaign last season, will link up with his new team-mates on Wednesday.

"I'm looking forward to joining MK Dons and hopefully getting some games under the belt," he told Wednesday's official website.

"I really need some playing time and one club that immediately came to my attention was MK Dons because I like how they play the game and they are doing well in League 1."

Lines, who has made just six appearances in the npower Championship this season, is set to make his debut Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round tie against QPR at Loftus Road.
