Sheffield Wednesday boss Dave Jones is expecting a spicy encounter at Leeds on Saturday regardless of whether their hosts appoint a new manager in time.
The Elland Road club are widely expected to name former Reading chief Brian McDermott into their hotseat in the next 24 hours and he could be watching the Yorkshire derby from the stands.
But Jones, who was at the centre of a storm following the reverse fixture in October when he branded all Leeds fans "vile animals", insists the opposition's managerial situation will not affect the game.
"It's a derby game, it will be exciting anyway," he said. "It's a big derby because it's Sheffield Wednesday and it's Leeds United, it doesn't matter if there's a new manager or not because everyone will be fired up.
"It has all the ingredients of being the game it's being billed as.
"Form and everything else goes out the window. You look for everything to get an advantage. Whatever is thrown at us we have to deal with."
