Shrewsbury Town have handed former Tottenham midfielder Dean Parrot a trial.
The 21-year-old spent the majority of his Spurs career out on loan, managing only two competitive appearances for the north London club before being released this summer.
Speaking to the Shropshire Star, Turner said: "We will have a look at him. The reserve game gives us a chance to look at our existing players, our young players and a couple of trialists.
"Dean can play off a front player but he is midfielder primarily with a decent pedigree, so we'll have a look.
"Dean has been with us almost a week and he's looked OK in training. He's a good passer of the ball, has a good range of passing so we will see how he looks."
Parrot will get his chance to impress in the reserves fixture against Wigan this Tuesday afternoon.
