Nigel Adkins has confirmed that there will be no more players leaving Southampton on loan before the emergency window closes next week.

The Saints boss has already sanctioned a loan deal for Dan Seaborne to join Charlton on a temporary basis last week and there had been suggestions that Tadanari Lee and Steve De Ridder could join him at new clubs before the Football League deadline.

However, with the Saints battling to escape from the relegation zone following a disappointing start to the Premier League campaign, Adkins is now looking for his remaining players to work hard to force their way into his first-team plans.

"We're not looking for any of those boys to go out," he told the Daily Echo.

"We've got a group of players now who are working hard and they all want to be in the starting XI.

"If they can't, they want to be on the bench so they can come on and make an impact and contribute.

"The good thing is when we look at it, we know where we are in the league table. It has actually galvanised everybody and brought them closer together."
