St Pauli have outmaneuvered Southampton and Stoke City in the race to sign in-form Icelandic Under-21 striker Emil Atlason.
The German club, who are chasing promotion back to the Bundesliga this season, have offered the 20-year-old KR Rejkjavic forward a trial after he hit seven goals in four matches for the Iceland Under-21s.
Southampton and Stoke have shown an interest but may not have been totally convinced as his record for his club this season has been ordinairy, netting only three goals in 21 appearances - although most were as a substitute.
Atlason will travel to Germany for the trial after he plays for Iceland's Under-21 side against their French counterparts on Monday.
