Reports have emerged from the strikers native Trinidad and Tobago saying that the Tigers have joined the host of clubs trying to sign John.
According to reports Saints Championship rivals Watford and an unnamed Saudi Arabian side have already expressed an interest in the 31-year-old hit man.
John said: ""I know there have been a few clubs showing interest because I did enough last season by getting among the goals and helping Southampton stay up."
"But at the moment there's nothing much I can say. At the moment I'm with Southampton."
John is among the highest earning players at Southampton and it is thought that Watford are unwilling to meet the strikers wage demands, which could allow Hull the opportunity to bag the veteran goal scorer.
