Juve forward on Saints' list

Juventus forward Fabio Quagliarella has emerged as a top January target for Southampton, according to reports in Italy.

Juve are said to be keen to offload the 30-year-old in the new year and have offered him to several Premier League clubs, including Saints and Swansea City.

Quagliarella has started just three Serie A matches this season and is behind Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente in the pecking order in Turin.

The experienced forward, who can also operate out wide, will have no shortage of options in January should he be made available for transfer but a switch to the Premier League is likely to appeal.

Tuttosport in Italy also claims MLS side New York Red Bulls are interested and would be prepared to pay the asking price - which could be as low as £3million.
