Southampton new boy Dejan Lovren says he will return to pre-season early such is his excitement at sealing a move to St Mary's.
The Croatia international signed a four-year deal at the south-coast club on Friday after leaving French side Lyon.
He is the Saints' first signing of the summer and the first deal for boss Mauricio Pochettino, who joined the club in January.
Lovren admits he is happy to have his future secured early in the summer and is ready to link up with the club early in order to acclimatise himself to life in England.
"I think I will be here (in Southampton) a few days earlier than the others because I need to know the people, the town and the players," he told the club's official website.
"It's important for me to have my future resolved because I am a young player, and I want to know where I will be playing. It was important for me to know that now.
"This was my decision to take, and I think it's a good choice. I think it will be great."
