No Schneiderlin for Saints

Leaders Southampton will be without Morgan Schneiderlin for the trip to Crystal Palace.

The French midfielder had to leave the pitch after just seven minutes of Saturday's 2-2 draw against derby rivals Portsmouth after suffering a knee injury.

Jack Cork came on for Schneiderlin and could start at Selhurst, although Richard Chaplow provides another option.

Full-back Frazer Richardson and top scorer Rickie Lambert shook off their recent injuries to play the full 90 minutes against Pompey and they should keep their places assuming they have felt no after-effects.

Boss Nigel Adkins is likely to make one or two changes, so Dan Harding and Steve de Ridder could start while fit-again defenders Dan Seabourne (head) and Radhi Jaidi (knee) will hope to be involved.
