Southampton have reportedly still not received an approach from Nottingham Forest for the services of striker Billy Sharp.
The 27-year-old spent last season on loan with the Championship outfit where he scored 11 goals in 31 matches and appeared set for a permanent switch this summer.
However, since returning to St Mary's at the end of season, there has been no dialogue with Forest boss Billy Davies about a move back to the City Ground in time for next season.
Sharp has also intimated that he would be happy to stay and fight for a place in the Premier League next season, but has yet to speak to Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino either.
Therefore the former Doncaster Rovers forward is facing an uncertain future.
