Mauricio Pochettino is relaxed about speculation linking Gaston Ramirez to Serie A clubs and says he may work in Italy himself one day.
The Southampton manager, speaking to an Italian website, revealed that he has family in Italy and left the door open for a future role at a club over there.
"I like Italian football," he said. "I have family in Italy, in the future, why not...".
Pochettino, who is only four weeks into his Saints assignment, is off to a flying start after his side beat Manchester City but he believes Roberto Mancini's men are not yet out of the title race.
He told TMW: "I think that despite the difference in points between United and City, there are still possibilities for City to win the title. There are many matches to go."
There has been reported interest from Fiorentina and AC Milan in Ramirez, but Pochettino thinks that it is normal that good players are the subject of interest from good teams.
"It's normal for him to be associated with the big teams," said the Saints boss.
"He is a player who is young and strong and he can still improve. I followed him at Bologna, where he played well.
"Here, he is proving himself. A great player plays well in any country."
