Southampton defender Dan Seaborne was the subject of a loan move from Millwall last week but the clubs could not agree on terms.
NewsAtDen.co.uk reports that Seaborne was top of the list for the Lions as a replacement for injured captain Paul Robinson.
But the south coast club wanted their players wages to be paid in full, something Millwall boss Kenny Jackett wasn't prepared to do.
The 25-year-old has not featured for the Premier League new boys in the league this term has reportedly been on the radar of the championship side for sometime, but after the teams failed to reach an agreement they drafted in Mark Beevers from Sheffield Wednesday.
