Southampton are weighing up sending James Ward-Prowse out on a season-long loan, with Bournemouth thought to be interested.
The 18-year-old is the latest highly-rated youngster to come out of Southampton's much-talked-about academy and looked set to become a star for the Saints when starting four Premier League games at the beginning of the season.
However, after a difficult start to the campaign for Southampton, the English midfielder found himself on the bench, a position he occupied for the rest of the season as he managed just 15 appearances.
With manager Mauricio Pochettino keen to add strength in depth to his squad, Ward-Prowse could find his game time limited even further in the coming season.
As a result, the teenager has been linked with a season-long loan move, with promoted Bournemouth thought to be keen to take him to Dean Court.
Saints have often sent their promising youngsters to the Cherries and, given that they are now in the Championship, they could be open to allowing Ward-Prowse to go out on loan.
