Ipswich striker Kevin Lisbie has issued a come and get me plea to Southampton as he looks to link up again with Alan Pardew.
The Jamaican international is currently on a season long loan with Saints' League One rivals Colchester but he would be interested in the chance to be reunited with his former manager at Charlton and Reading.
Lisbie is the latest in a long line of forwards to be tipped for a move to St Mary's but it's understood the club have yet to follow up their initial enquiry with an actual bid.
The 31-year-old's days at Portman Road are numbered after he fell out with Roy Keane over his refusal to comply with the manager's rule that players and their families should live within half an hour of the training ground.
Colchester would like to sign Lisbie themselves but they simply don't have the cash to complete a permanent deal for a player who has scored ten times this season.
Lisbie was asked about a possible move to Saints by The Daily Echo and he was very open to the suggestion. He said: "Very much so.
"If they (Saints) are interested I am only on loan at Colchester so obviously anything is possible.
"I have not asked to go anywhere. But if you ask any player they would love to be settled at a club that has signed them and to be settled somewhere would be good for me."
