The Turkish press are reporting that Southampton and Everton are interested in taking Fenerbahce defender Joseph Yobo back to England.
The 32-year-old Nigerian international has plenty of Premier League experience having made 248 appearances for Everton during an eight-year spell at Goodison Park.
However, Yobo finally moved to Fenerbahce last season for 2.5million euros after two successful season-long loan deals with the Turkish outfit.
He was a big part of the team last season with 34 appearances but a change in rules in Turkey means he could be made available for a transfer this summer.
The Turkish Football Federation have just introduced a ruling which only permits 10 foreign players per club for the 2013-14 season and Fenerbahce boast 11 so they need to offload one.
Yobo has insisted that he is settled in Istanbul and has no plans to leave but Turkish newspaper Fanatik is claiming his former club Everton and the Saints will try and take him back to the Premier League.
Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino has already drafted in £8.5million Croatian stopper Dejan Lovren but has been looking for another centre-half as Barcelona SC's Ecuadorian Frickson Erazo has been linked with a move to the south coast.
