St Johnstone boss Derek McInnes has bolstered his defensive ranks with the acquisition of former Chelsea defender Michael Duberry.
The 34-year-old has arrived as a free agent at McDiarmid Park after his contract with Wycombe Wanderers was cancelled, and he will stay until the end of the season.
Duberry, who also had spells with Leeds United, Stoke and Reading, will go straight into the squad for the Scottish Cup clash against Dundee United, providing he gets international clearance.
Duberry is delighted to get the chance to play some regular football and attributes a former Chelsea colleague for his move north of the border.
He told the club's official website: "I just want to play football and, when myself and Wycombe agreed to part company, Jody encouraged me to join St Johnstone.
"Jody and I have been close friends for many years and I know that when he went through a similar period of not knowing where his future lay, St Johnstone gave him a home and I know how content he is up here.
"That's had a big influence on my decision to join Saints."
